Can we replace the existing Excel data source with other sources?

You could  refer to this thread.

There are two ways:

Home->Edit queries->Data source setting->change data source

Home->Edit queries->Edit queries->Advanced editor, replace the connection string code.

It is important that if the data model are different from excel and other data source, then the visual or measure/calculated column created already would break.
