Helper VCan we make 2 visuals (area chart) with small multiples match inner multiple height?
Hi all,
I'm using small multiples for the first time on 2 visuals (both area chart) on the same page side by side.
Right now the left visuals small multiple y axis is about twice as tall as the right visual:
Is it possible to have the height of inner multiples match on both visuals? So users don't have to scroll twice on the left chart vs right.

Unfortunately, it is not possible to synchronize the proportions of different small multiples and their axes. To achieve similar proportions, you need to use the same layout.
It is also important to note that the brain finds it easiest to compare shapes from top to bottom. Therefore, it may be worth considering arranging the graphs vertically in one column.
It is also important to note that it is not really possible or accurate to compare two different graphs with different units. This is not comparing "apples to apples". $100 and 80% are not the same thing. Just as we would not write the sentence "on" another sentence because the reader cannot read it in this form.

alya1The layout tip worked! The goal is to make it so users don't have to scroll twice as much on one graph vs another, not to compare the actual value/units so thank you 🙂
