Can't upload this report

Displayed according to the error message.
It looks like there was a mismatch in the versions of the client and server being used. Please only use the recommended Desktop Client for the Report Server.

First of all, I would strongly recommend updating the power bi desktop to the newest version, 2018 version is seriously outdated, the same for the server (update it to the latest version as well).
Then I would test where that would lead.

That's strange I found out several of his colleagues also have Version: 2.61.5192.601 64-bit (August 2018) and are able to upload to the server. Any ideas?

I would still suggest updating your Power BI Desktop, with a 4-old-year build you're missing a serious amount of features and probably issues like that can happen.
