Can't sign into desktop on RDP w/ May-June updates

With the May-June updates, I am unable to sign in to the service via desktop. When I try to sign in (top right, or bottom left on File menu), all I get is the prompt to enter email address and when I do that, nothing else. I've tried tracing but it doesn't produce any results. I had to roll-back to the April version, where it works fine. I'm doing all of this on RDP. Thanks!

We are having the exact same problem. The only thing that has worked so far was to uninstall the may/June version and reinstall April.

When I was finally able to login on the April version I updated to the May again just to see what would happen. When the installation was complete and I started the  app I was actually still logged in. BUT when I chose to sign out just to sign in again the problem was back again...

So now I'm back running April again...

We opened a ticket w/ MS and they are saying the fix will be in the August update

Actually, the firewall tweaks weren't the solution. The fix was temporary and we're back to square one w/ no sign in prompts. No changes w/ the July 11 updated version.

Thanks but it's not a pop-under issue as far as I can tell. I couldn't find a dialog window anywhere. I also added app.powerbi.com and api.powerbi.com domains to Edge and Chrome to allow pop-ups. I updated to the 6/22 version of BI and turned off Desktop Infrastructure and Web Infrastructure preview features. Still no change.

It might be a "pop-under" bug - this product has had a few of those over the years. A dialog window is created, but is not on top of your stack of windows. Sometimes you can find it using alt-tab.

Found this solution internally, this from one of our sys admins: "Sometimes outbound traffic might be affected by the firewall’s decryption policy. I’ve just made a change to the firewall to exclude any traffic from it’s IP address from being decrypted."
