Hi,
I can't seem to login to publish my report to a client's Power BI workspace.
I've installed the latest version lastest Power BI ver last week and its my first attempt since to publish.
- I have access to my clients MS 365
- I can access Power BI services on the client side
- I can connet with the same service account to my source and refresh the the data
- I have Office 365 license E5
- Power BI Pro is enabled
- Power BI free is also enalbled (Possibly Expired)
When I sign in, I'm stick on entering the Username screen time after time, I don't get forwarded to the Password screen.
Same issue, no luck with the "authentication browser" option.
@amitchandak Reinstalling Power BI Desktop made no difference. The issue seems to be tenent specific.
I found a work around though.
That worked for me anyhow. Not pretty but worked.
@ezFlow , Reinstall power bi if possible.
Also, check for any issue reported https://community.powerbi.com/t5/Issues/idb-p/Issues
I'm having the same issue for one of my clients, the rest of my clients are OK.
Issue - cannot connect Power BI Desktop to publish to client's service, no option to enter password after email address is entered. I can connect Power BI Desktop to the client's dataflows etc without an issue.
Check out the April 2026 Power BI update to learn about new features.
