Also used to sucessfully be able to rename columns buil in tables via {()} method, however as of most recent update
Version: 2.110.805.0 64-bit (October 2022)
get same error as O.P.

I get the same error trying to change the column name on a table created using a table constructor. ie Table = {1,2,3}
This applies to new tables and existing tables where the column name has previously been updated
Version: 2.110.805.0 64-bit (October 2022)
Hi Xiaoxin!
Thank you so much for the response!
The data source type is SQL and the connection mode was "Import." Yes, this appered in other reports as well and for referred tables using a table with a different SQL view also.
Besides renaming column names, it is still possible to make other edits to the referred tables like creating heirarchies and measures.
Thanks again!
Hi @asirieka,
In fact, I can't reproduce this scenario on my side. What version of power bi desktop are you worked? The common power bi desktop or report server optimized version?
Regards,
Xiaoxin Sheng
Hi,
I'm using the common desktop version I believe: 2.110.1161.0
