Can't refresh SQL views that use a linked server in the Power BI Service

Hello,

We have a report that import views from a SQL Server database on premise. The views uses a linked server. In the desktop we can refresh the data but when we try this in the Power BI Service we get the error: The credentials provided for the SQL source are invalid.  We have looked on the rights on the databases, but that doesn't seems to be the problem. Do you know this problem? And so yes, is there a solution or isn't this possible?

Thanks in advance!

Robin

Hi,

Yes i have configured the gateway correctly i think. In another report with also views (without use of a linked server) from a SQL Server it works fine. What do you mean with mapped it on the dataset?
