Can't export to Excel from desktop version
When I am sent to the online Power BI and go to settings it shows I have the Pro license. I can export or select to analyse to an Excel file when online but on the desktop app where I build the report I only have option to export to pdf.

Hi michael95677 ,
You can enter the Admin portal by selecting Settings and find the Tenant settings.
To enter the Admin portal, there are prerequisites:
The full admin portal can be accessed by global admins and users who have the Power BI Administrator role. If you're not in one of these roles, you only see Capacity settings in the portal.
For specific information, you can check the following link:
https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/power-bi/admin/service-admin-portal
Analyse in Excel is a function of power bi service, you can only publish its report in power bi desktop to power bi service, then this function will appear
https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/power-bi/collaborate-share/service-analyze-in-excel

michael95677 , On the desktop there is only a limited option to export. That is meant for development.
Most of the export option are available on power bi service and are controlled by tenant settings

Hi michael95677 ,
You cannot load the entire report into Excel, you can only export the data formed by the report used to create visual objects as .xlsx or .csv files to Excel.
https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/power-bi/consumer/end-user-export
If you want the entire report to be exported, you can choose PPT, PDF to export the visual objects in the report in the form of static pictures.
https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/power-bi/consumer/end-user-pdf?tabs=powerbi-desktop

Thank you. What is meant by tenant settings? It still seems like we should be able to export when we have licenses for PRO version. Is is that you can only export once you've published?
