i have 3 tables all having numeric key ID. Sample of each table below.
Main
ID
Name
Date
TIme
Action:
ID
Action Item
Reponsibility:
ID
Responsible item
Not all records in table Main will have an associated record in either table Action or table Responisbility
Have created a simple one to many relationship between ID fields:
Main to Action
Main to Responsibility
When i create my report i can add fields from Main and Action tables and Main and Responsibility tables OK
But if i add fields from all 3 tables i get the "Can't determine relationships between the fields" . Nort sure what to do here.
Just want to display any record in Main that has any related record in both Action and Responsibility
thanks

@cheezy
For example, if the Main to Action is both direction, when have all 3 tables in a visual, the Responsibility table value cannot determine whether the filter context is from main table to action table. Just make both relationship to single direction, Main => Action, Main =>Responsibility.

I'm having a similar challenge. My first column is the process ID (which I've converted to Text) and the second column is the Risk ID. A Process ID can have many Risk IDs linked to it (1 -> *), but there are a few instances where a Process ID does not have any Risk ID linked to it. Any ideas on how I can overcome this issue would be greatly appreciated!

@cheezy , seem like the main is like a mater table. On one side in both relationship .
In this case, you can have not summarized the column from Action or Responsibility. Only from on of them when you also use a column from main.
You can have summarized column from one table and unsummarized from other with main
