Can't connect to a sharepoint folder

Hi Power BI community,

I'm trying to connect to a sharepoint folder but I got this error message:

JuanManzanera_0-1727899929253.png

I'm copying the URL from this option (in Spanish), and then removed the characters after the folder name (i.e. ?csf=1&web=......)

I need to connect and merge multiple csv files within that folder instead of connecting to each file and then manually merge these in Power Query (I can connect to each individual file btw but no to the folder).

Any suggestions to solve this problem?

That is insufficient. You need to connect to the plain site URL, not to any folder .

Thanks for your comment @lbendlin. This is the URL structure that I'm copying and pasting in Power BI Desktop:

https://[company_name].sharepoint.com/:f:/r/sites/[Folder_1] /Shared%20Documents/[Folder_2]/[Folder_3]/[Folder_that_I_need_to_connect]?csf=1&web=1&e=SjeDwt

I removed the characters in bold in the URL above to connect properly to Power BI.

I entered my credentials when requested but getting the error explained in the initial comment above.

The correct site URL is

https://[company_name].sharepoint.com/sites/[Folder_1

Great! This worked perfectly, thanks! I do have a follow-up question. In my data model, I use multiple reports—one for sales with X files per company, another for AR with X files per company, and another for customers with X files per company. Based on this, I created three folders in SharePoint (one for Sales, one for AR, and one for Customer files), thinking I could connect to each folder and combine the files for each report. Is there a way to do this? When I connect as you suggested, all the reports appear as if they were in the same folder, as follows:

The reason I'm asking is that I can connect to individual folders when they're saved locally, but I'd like to know if this is possible when working in SharePoint.

Thanks!

Great! This should work. Thanks!!
