Can't connect to SharePoint data source using newly updated Microsoft password

I have a .PBIX file connected to several data source files saved in a SharePoint document library. I recently changed my Microsoft password and when Power BI Desktop prompted me to update my credentials, authentication failed. I ususually connect via the Organizational account option, but when I click to sign-in, the dialog opens and closes immediately before I can choose an account. Manually entering my Windows credentials doesn't work either. I followed all the advice and deleted the saved data connections but still no luck. Any idea how I can authenticate? For what it's worth, I was able to re-authenticate to other Microsoft account-based data sources, like SQL Server, after my password changed.

Very helpful. Thank you. I ended up upgrading to the latest release and that solved the problem.

Hi  @PoPQ ,

You can try this:

File -> Options and settings -> Options -> Global -> Security -> Authentication Browser -> Use my default web browser.
