Hi all,
In Power BI Desktop I am trying to connect to a MS SQL Server, through a VPN, but I keep getting an error:
"Microsoft SQL: The target principal name is incorrect. Cannot generate SSPI context"
I am able to sucessfully connect to the database from Azure Data Studio (after connecting to the VPN), using the following configuration:
In Power BI I just type the server IP in the Server input dialog:
And get the error: "Microsoft SQL: The target principal name is incorrect. Cannot generate SSPI context"
I think it might be something related to the "encrypt: False" and "trustServerCertificate: False" that I am able to set in Azuere Data Studio, but not in Power BI.
I don`t have much technical knowlodge regarding this subject, so I would apprecite any help!
