I'm using PowerBI desktop app connected to Azure Analysis Services database.
in one table I have StartDate Column I tried to add new column like StartDateMonthName but all menus options to edit the table are disabled except "new measure".

you can't modify the data model when connecting live to SSAS or Azure AS. If this column is of great importance then you need to have it added in Azure
