Can't Save the file
Hi AbhishekSahu9,
Since the dashboard is still open and functional, you can try this first:
Save as a Copy: Instead of using the "Save" or "Save As" options directly, try exporting your report by going to File → Export → Power BI Template (.pbit). This might bypass the corruption issue and let you save most of your work.
Copy to a New File: Create a new Power BI file and copy the visualizations, data model, and measures manually if the template export doesn't work. This is a bit tedious but can save your work if nothing else does.
Hi AbhishekSahu9,
Thank you MattiaFratello for your inputs to the query.
Additional points which you can refer to:
After you export your file as a .pbit template and open it again, you’ll need to refresh the data because templates don’t save the actual data just the structure and layout.
If you're having this problem with other files too, it’s a good idea to check if your Power BI Desktop is up to date. Some older versions had issues saving files, and updates often fix those kinds of bugs.
