Can't Install Power BI Desktop on windows 7

HI,

I am trying to install Power BI desktop on my personal laptop with windows 7 64 bit and .NET framework 4.5 ,

however, it shows the error as - "the program can't start because api-ms-win0crt-runtime-l1-1-0.dll is missing from your computer. Try reinstalling the progrm to fix this issue. "

I don't understant what is to be done for this. 

Somewhere I found that windows should be updated, however mine is not updated. 1 or 2 recent updates are missing. So is this the issue or can somebody suggest what is to be done.

Hi there I would suggest making sure all the latest windows updates are installed. Once that is done see if the error persists.

Yeah. I got all the windows updates installed and then tried installing the same, It worked then.
