Can't Get Power BI Add-In For Excel

After going to Power BI Service, I hit the '...' then 'Download' then 'Analyze in Excel Updates'. I get a file named "x64_15.0.2000.443_SQL_AS_OLEDB". After installing I can't find the power bi add-in in excel. I've check Excel Add-ins, COM Add-ins, and Disbaled Items. Does anybody know how to fix this issue? I have the 64 bit version of excel. I have micrsoft Office E5. Both Excel and Power BI Are up to date. Any help appreciated!

  • Maxwell I think you are referring to Power BI publisher which is not available any more (afaik), check this post for analyze in excel

Again, you are using E5 license, you are better of connect to Power BI dataset directly from Excel.

I would  Kudos if my solution helped. 👉 If you can spend time posting the question, you can also make efforts to give Kudos whoever helped to solve your problem. It is a token of appreciation!

  • Maxwell if you have E5 license, you can directly connect with Power BI dataset in Excel instead of using Analyze in Excel

Maxwell there is not tab, it just connect to the model and you get pivot dataset in excel.
