Can't Create an App // Binary data

Hi,
I can't create an application on PowerBi because I have a parameter in binary but I can't change it?
When I load my data it comes from a folder and that data is in csv format.
It automatically creates a sample query containing the binary data.
I don't know if my English was good and if I explain my problem well
Do you have a solution ?

Hi @Guillaume_S,

Are you trying to create dynamic file paths in Power Query?
If so, I hope these two blogs will help you.

Hi,

it doesn't work because I'm loading CSV files from a folder. When I want to transform the data it necessarily goes through binary and I can't change the data type.

Hi @Guillaume_S ,

"Binary" type parameters work in Power BI Desktop, but we currently don't support them in the service, for security reasons.

A report parameter must be one of the following data types:

Boolean. The user selects True or False from a radio button.
DateTime. The user selects a date from a calendar control.
Integer. The user types values in a text box.
Float. The user types values in a text box.
Text. The user types values in a text box.

If possible, you can change the data type of the [content] column to the above type (Integer) in the Power Quert Editor.

Report parameters in Power BI Report Builder / Report parameter properties
