Can't Connect to Power BI Service Data Set

I have created a workspace and published a dataset, report and added a Dashboard to it.

I have added another Pro user from my organisation to the group, they can see the report and the dashboard, but not the data sets.

There doesn't seem to be any option to share the dataset with people, just the dashboard.

When that user opens Power BI Desktop and goes to Get Data -> Online Services -> Power BI Services, it shows no data sets to connect to. Any idea why? I have followed the instructions here but the data set only appears for the user who published it.

All they see is the workspace name with nothing available when expanded.

@nickdewitt,

Based on your description, you grant the users read only permission on the group, in this case, the users can't see the datasets in the group and they are unable to connect to the datasets in Power BI Desktop.

Please grant the permission to your users as shown in the screenshot, this way, the users will be able to connect to the dataset in Power BI Desktop.

Ah yes i see it now, on the workspace settings in Power BI, not on the member page for the group (they all had edit access there).

Thankyou.
