Hello!
I have a developed sales report showing a matrix table of MTD, Previous, Previous month, etc.
In the raw data, there are several columns describing the sales transaction. Example, there's BU (Business Unit) like where the delivery came from; Client name; Brand of the product; ASM (salesperson), etc.
Initially, I had one page and made a matrix table based on the hierarchy they wanted which was Per BU-per client-per brand.
Over time, they started to request several views of the same table but different levels of hierarchy. I started playing with the drilldown/drill up/go to the next level buttons in the visual but I think it's not possible for some combinations they want.
Example, there's one matrix showing ASM-Client-Brand and there's another matrix needing BU-ASM-Client-Brand.
My question is that is there a feature in PBI wherein the person with reader role only could interchange the row levels based on what he/she needs? So that I don't need to create multiple tables for every view they need.
HI @newgirl,
RLS can be work with users, you can use USERNAME or USERPRINCIPALNAME function in RLS and filter condition and it can be recognized the current user and filter table records on data model level. (You need to add the username field in your table to help mapping with RLS filters)
Solved: RLS with UserName() - Microsoft Power BI Community
USERNAME function (DAX) - DAX | Microsoft Learn
USERPRINCIPALNAME function (DAX) - DAX | Microsoft Learn
For other type filter effects, you can consider using bookmark to saving different filters and binding them to button actions to quickly use.

Hello!
Sorry, I think you misundertood my question. I'm not talking about RLS when I used the word "views". For example, I have this table:
Date | Client | Product | Store | Volume | Transaction No. | Delivery | SalesPerson | Manager | Location |
1/1/2023 | A | Orange | 1 | 64 | 1 | Delivered | Jack | Jacko | Location 2 |
1/1/2023 | A | Orange | 1 | 75 | 2 | Delivered | Jack | Jacko | Location 2 |
1/1/2023 | A | Apple | 2 | 50 | 3 | Pick-up | Bart | Homer | Location 1 |
1/1/2023 | B | Banana | 2 | 38 | 4 | Delivered | Bart | Homer | Location 3 |
1/1/2023 | B | Banana | 1 | 96 | 5 | Delivered | Jill | Gillian | Location 2 |
1/2/2023 | C | Apple | 1 | 37 | 6 | Pick-up | Jack | Jacko | Location 1 |
1/2/2023 | A | Banana | 1 | 48 | 7 | Delivered | Jack | Jacko | Location 3 |
1/2/2023 | B | Grape | 2 | 79 | 8 | Delivered | Lisa | Marge | Location 2 |
1/2/2023 | A | Orange | 1 | 48 | 9 | Pick-up | Jill | Gillian | Location 1 |
1/2/2023 | B | Apple | 2 | 88 | 10 | Pick-up | Lisa | Marge | Location 1 |
1/3/2023 | C | Banana | 2 | 14 | 11 | Delivered | Bart | Homer | Location 1 |
1/3/2023 | A | Grape | 2 | 63 | 12 | Delivered | Bart | Homer | Location 3 |
1/3/2023 | A | Banana | 2 | 89 | 13 | Delivered | Lisa | Marge | Location 3 |

They request for a matrix table showing the volume, for example, per Client-Product-Store
Then they say they'd also like to see the volume but per Store-Client-Product and another for Product-Store-Client.
In my example above^, is there a way for the reader themselves to be the ones to edit the matrix in PBI instead of instructing me to create new tables with different breakdown combinations? I tried using drilldown/drill up/go to the next level buttons in the visual but I think it's not possible for some combinations they want.
HI @newgirl,
I think you can't directly custom the matrix breakdown and combination without add new custom fields or modify the table structure.
Perhpas you can take a look at the dynamic attribute report if helps:
