HI,
i do have a report where I use Dataflow as source and load several tables into the report. everything work fine, no issue
2 issues occure though:
1. Change the dataflow:
when I change the DF and grab another dataflow, same tablenames, just different area, click on load the Dataflow is loading and once finish, i receive an error: Can not load into Datamodel.
Strange thing is after refresh a 2nd time, the error is not showing anymore and everything is fine.
2. adding new tables:
if i add a new table, no matter what source, DF or just enter data, click on load, i also receive the error: Can not load into Datamodel. A refresh is not helping in this case.
the first issue is kind of annoying but okay, its working.
The second issue is a problem as I can not extend the modell and add new things to it.
I am using Powerbi Desktop, latest version.
Is this a known issue or did I somehow damage my model?
Any thoughts?
thanks

Hi,
update on my test: I use a couple of field parameters for dynamic changing the x -axis (day, week, month) and linked them in the model with bidirectional relationship.
Once I change this bidirectional on one side, the issue is gone, at least not showing up again.
guess that was the issue, but not sure why
thanks

Hi,
well, I followed the tipps and found one workaround.
Actually there are 2 tables connected. Once i delete the connection i can add tables again. THen I can connect them again.
Strange, no cache issues, no circular reference nor any errors showing in the measueres. Modell has about 6 dimensions, 8 facts tables and a few field parameters. no table has more than 100k rows. not sure if this is too complicate or too much but i dont think so.
I still dig a bit to find out why. Will circle back in the next days and give a feedback and then close the topic
thanks
Hi @Hansolu ,
May I ask if you have resolved this issue? If so, please mark the helpful reply and accept it as the solution. This will be helpful for other community members who have similar problems to solve it faster.
Thank you.
@Hansolu Try clearing the cache in Power BI Desktop via Options > Data Load. Restart Power BI to resolve any underlying issues. Check for circular dependencies in the data model. If the problem persists, consider re-creating the dataflows or simplifying the model.
