i have office635 e3 subscription, sharepoint, ODB, exchange etc., will Pwer BI useful to me to manage or generating reports.
Thanks everyone for reply....
we are running a company, defining "useful" i need to generate scheduled reports like.
# no. of licenses in O365 available and used.
# no.of users using One drive for business
# no.of Inactive users in O365, Skype for business usage etc.,
there is no baked in data set that's integrated with your o365 subscription and that would allow you to analyze your o365 stats. There is a content pack for Azure if you are an enterprise customer and that's about it.
I am guessing the most useful feature specific to Power BI with respect to O365 will be ability to embed Excel documents into Power BI dashboards.
Yes, Power BI is the best option for generating and sharing reports and dashboards, although you can do very similar things in Excel with Power View and the other "Power" plug-ins. You can sign-up and use Power BI for free with your O365 login. However, to do more "enterprise grade" things will require the Pro license.
Depends on how you define 'useful' if you're running a company or want to make data more useful.. Then Power BI is VERY useful.
