Can anyone help with missing report dates

Apologies if my question did not fully explain the issue. I am a new user to Power BI and my home page does not have an option to input dates to run any reports, can anyone point me in the right direction please?  Missing period for Dates to run reports

Thank you for reaching out to Microsoft Community.

Are you viewing a report and don't see a date input or you're on the Power BI Service home page and wondering where to select a date range, it means the report developer has not included a Date slicer or filter pane that lets you choose dates.

Hi AS35 ,

Thanks for the update, Check the data type of your date column.  If it is marked as text you will only get the list or dropdown option. Some of the tables with date columns may have defaulted to hirachry so you have to manually change from hirarchy, also you can try to turn off the auto date/time across all new files or in a specific file under options.
