Can I use a non Microsoft account to feed on-premise gateway (personal mode)?

I am importing data from Tagetik to Power BI using a custom connector developed by Tagetik. I have to log into the connector with a dedicate powerbi user name ( pbiuserxxx, which is not a standard microsoft account).

Now to publish the PB file, I need to install a personal gateway (according to Tagetik user manual), so here is the question: when I install the gateway, can I use the pbi user name and credentials or it has to be a Microsoft user name? I read the MS documentation and get the impression that it has to be a MS account.

Hi @Jeanxyz ,

As far as I know, you need to sign in Power BI Gateway(Personal mode) by MS account.
