Hello,
I am working on lots of SQL server table data sources.
I need to transform the tables to a Pivot structure, then create charts and visualization on top of the pivoted data . Can I do this with PowerBI without using PowerPivot?
This used to be easy with PowerPivot. However, I am hoping to replace PowerPivot with PowerBI. Can I do that?
Thank you,

Yes, you would create queries to your source tables and then use a Matrix visualization. Just as easy, if not more so than PowerPivot and pivot tables. Desktop would be your best choice for this.
