Can I do a MIN or MAX within an AVERAGE term in DAX?

Hello all!

I am using the AVERAGE DAX function to pull in the AVERAGE score for folks as a whole.

Index Average = AVERAGE('Scorecard'[Score System])

I would like to bring in the best and worst average score of these folks. Is there a way to do that? Essentially getting the worst average and then the best average

Hi @Anonymous

You can create two measures and use minx() and maxx() function

e.g Sample data

Sample measure

Average = AVERAGE('Table'[Column2])

Create the two measures

Min = MINX(ALLSELECTED('Table'[Column1]),[Average])

Max = MAXX(ALLSELECTED('Table'[Column1]),[Average])

Output
