Can I add a other data source or excel file after using Power BI datasets as a datasource.

Can I add a new data source or excel file after using Power BI datasets as a datasource.

Because it gets disabled all the options once chosen Power BI datsets as a datasource..

is there any way or workaround to add other datasource with Power BI datasets.

Hi, @Anonymous 

According to your requirement, I think you can use the preview function of the Direct query for the Power BI dataset to add other data sources with Power BI datasets, you can follow my steps:

  1. Go to setting and option->Preview to turn on this function:

  1. Click on the buttom right corner of the report page->make changes to this model:

  1. Click on this button to convert this dataset to a direct query data model:

Then you can add other data sources, you can follow this document to get more information of this preview function:
