Calling web service on filtering

I currently have two web servies for pulling out data:

 

1 - Gives all the nodes i have access to

2 - Takes a node + start and endtime as query parameter - Gives data for that node within the specified timeframe

 

The first part of getting all the nodes is not an issue since it can be connected as a simple web datasource. My issue is how can I get the data from the second web service based on which node and time interval the user has selected?

 

Is the only option to gather all data and import it into PowerBI or is there a way I can trigger the call to the second webservice based on the selected filters in the report/dashboard?

In this scenario, you can use the Node column from your first query to add it as a List Query. Just right click on the column, select "Add as New Query".

Then use the List Query to create a query parameter.

Now you can use the parameter in your second query to retrieve expected data. For more details, please refer to blog below:
