Calendar option

I am relatively new to Power BI. Some of my data fields have a calendar next to the date field and others do not. Those without it, add up all the dates. How do I get the calendar feature that lets me chose day/month/quarter year into the data list?

    Hi SGregory1 

    if the date is marked as date data type and the below setting in options is enabled(This is enabled natively, since you have other dates which is working as expected it should be enabled for you too) then the dates should have hierrarchies as you need.
