Calculations after slicer

Hi,

I a list of actuals and a list of forecasts for a number of categories per month.  So each category has 12 lines for each month which shows both actuals and forecast in the same line.  When I use this data in a table broken down by category it shows me total actuals and total forecast, I have also calculated the difference which is fine, and the % spent which is just actuals/forecast as a percentage.  This works fine when I use a date slicer and look at a single month view, however the % spent just sums when I don't use a date slice which means that if i'm at 100% for each month it's showing as 1200% for 12 months even though it's actually still 100%.

Is there a way to calculate this based on the sum totals in the slicer?

Many thanks

Sarah

Use a measure instead. There are some instances where you can use a calculated column, but for metrics (especially percentages) you'll definitely want to use a measure. Calculated Columns and Measures in DAX - SQLBI

For your % spent are you using a measure or a calculated column?
