Calculation groups and/or Time Intelligence Issues

Hello,

I switched off "Auto date/time", of course everything broke. I had saved prior, so I just turned it back on. Closed out of Power Bi and re-opened my file. Everything seemed ok until I looked at my calculation groups and they were all screwed up. I re-created some seperate time intelligence functions to veryify it wasnt just my calc groups and none will return a value. I cant figure out what is broke. By dim-dates are also not sorting correctly but I cant figure out how to fix.

The following are the Time intelligence functions i'm using.

MTD Sales =
CALCULATE(
    SELECTEDMEASURE(),
    DATESMTD('Calendar'[Date]))
PM Sales =
CALCULATE(
    SELECTEDMEASURE(),
    DATEADD('Calendar'[Date],-1, MONTH))
PY Sales =
CALCULATE(
    SELECTEDMEASURE(),
    DATESYTD(DATEADD('Calendar'[Date], -1, YEAR)))
YTD Sales =
CALCULATE(
    SELECTEDMEASURE(),
    DATESYTD('Calendar'[Date]))
QTD Sales =
CALCULATE(
    SELECTEDMEASURE(),
    DATESQTD('Calendar'[Date]))

@RevOps608 , Make sure you are using explicit measure with calculation group

The year should be coming from date table. Do not use any hierarchy there. Use a year, month year column

I tested it , and it was working fine, Please find the attached file after signature

To get the best of the time intelligence function. Make sure you have a date calendar and it has been marked as the date in model view. Also, join it with the date column of your fact/s. Refer :radacad sqlbi My Video Series Appreciate your Kudos.

Thank you! And also for the video. It was the heirarchy throwing me off. Shouldve caught it.

Best,
