Calculated column Sumif with multiple criteria from multiple tables.
Hey guys,
I've been trying something but sadly I am nowhere near as experienced for what I am trying to achieve. I was hoping you experts could help. I've visualized my problem in Excel below to make it much easier to explain.
What I am trying to achieve in this example is to create a calculated column in my budget table (see yellow marked) that sums all of "price" (from another table) per projectnum, only if column "y/n" says "yes".
Is this doable in powerbi? If so, I hope someone can tell me!
Thanks as always!
Try this friend,
1. create relationship between Budget and spent with name.
2. use the below dax to create cal column in budget table
Revenue= CALCULATE(SUM(Spent[price]),Budget[y/n]="Yes")If this post helps, then please consider Accept it as the solution to help the other members find it more quickly

aaaah I am stupid. I didn't realize there was no relation between the tables, which is why my attempts didn't work
Works like a charm. Thanks 🙂

Create a project table
project = summarize(Budget,budget[Name],Budget[Y/N])
Join both the tables to this table using the project name. Now use the project [Y/N] as a slicer.
