Calculated Column or Power Query to show duplicated value

Hi

I have a table with a column of values. Some of these values are duplicated. I need either a Calculated Column or Power Query function to add a new column that shows a 1 if the value appears more than once or 0 if it only appears once.

Column1Dax Function -Duplicate
123-PLUM1
123-PLUM1
325-ASB0
6565-PLUM0
545-CARP1
545-CARP1
545-PLUM0
89-ELEC1
89-ELEC1
89-ELEC1
5478-CARP0

thank you Richard

  • Hi,

In Power Query, create a group Based on the 'Column1' :

    - Then Select Replace Values on the Count Column (right-click on the title of the column) :

    and Replace 1 with 0,

and then do it again for 2 with 1 and 3 with 1

this is the final result :

    Appreciate your Kudos
