Calculate the Latest Date with respect to the Application Ref Number

I want to Calculate the Latest Date with respect to the Application Ref Number and App no is coming from another table 
I tried 

Max_BatchDate = CALCULATE(

    MAX('Purchase Order Detail'[Batch Date]),

    ALLEXCEPT('Client Program Detail', 'Client Program Detail'[Application Reference Number])

)
but I am getting the maximumm date of the entire batch date column I want it wrt Appl no .Because the data is coming from the Direct Query I am not able to use the LASTDATE

Hello @dshah12 , do you have relation between Purchase Order Detail table and Client Program Detail table. If it is there and still it is not working, please change cross filtering between these two tables as 'both' direction so that it will work. Your measure is right.
