Calculate first row value as a start point / Balance
All, I'm using xViz Waterfall chart, Is there any way to have a starting balance similar to end balance in waterfall chart, without inserting it as a row (ex. data point 1 in screenshot below) ...
Thank you for sharing the video. I have watched it, yet the issue still exists. What I'm looking for is a "Starting Balance" (Base cost) similar to the feature of "Final Balance" in xViz. At the moment, xViz is reading 1 as a first data point instead of Base cost/Starting Balance - Highlighted in blue in the screenshot.
The other 2 blue bars (2019 & 2020) are created running sum.

Based on my test, seems like we can only set running total behind the first data point currently not set it like start point in this waterfall chart regardless of we set the type as 'From Category Field' or 'Manual'. Although we use Manual and set position as 0, it will also show behind the first data point.
One potential way to solve is your dataset has a hierarchy level such as a date hierarchy, watch this viedo from 1:10s to 4:00s which is on their official website that could help you.
