Hi,
I am trying to calculate count using filter and I want to exclude a few fields like -
1.(ActivityTable[WeekName]),
2.(ActivityTable[week]),
3.(ActivityTable[MonthName]),
4.(ActivityTable[month]
Formula written :
SentTotal = CALCULATE(DISTINCTCOUNT(ActivityTable[leadId] ),
FILTER( ActivityTable, ActivityTable[activity] = "Sent"), ALL(ActivityTable[WeekName]), ALL(ActivityTable[week]),ALL(ActivityTable[MonthName]), ALL(ActivityTable[month]))
I am using this field to calculate %
OpenTotalRate = (ActivityTable[OpenTotal])/(ActivityTable[SentTotal])
This is giving me the result as Infinity
Is this a correct way to calculate using filter and except?
Thank you @Greg_Deckler ,
Basically, I am trying to calculate % of total Open/ Total sent
below you can see the total sent = 4
total open = 2
% = 2/4
The calculation is giving me %correctly but the issue is I am trying to build a line graph that
shows open rate weekly and monthly
my sent table has a pseudo number for week and month as "1000" which needs to be ignored.
The rates are calculating correctly but show infinity when I am using in a line graph
the using a formula to ignore week and month for sent
SentTotal = CALCULATE(DISTINCTCOUNT(ActivityTable[leadId] ),
FILTER( ActivityTable, ActivityTable[activity] = "Sent"), ALL(ActivityTable[WeekName]), ALL(ActivityTable[week]),ALL(ActivityTable[MonthName]), ALL(ActivityTable[month]))
@Anonymous So there is a relationship between open and sent based on leadid then? Where is your MonthName column coming from, the Open Table or some other Date table? If another table, how is that related to your two tables?
@Anonymous Guessing that your denominator is returning 0 but hard to say why exactly. Sorry, having trouble following, can you post sample data as text and expected output?
Not really enough information to go on, please first check if your issue is a common issue listed here: https://community.powerbi.com/t5/Community-Blog/Before-You-Post-Read-This/ba-p/1116882

The most important parts are:
1. Sample data as text, use the table tool in the editing bar
2. Expected output from sample data
3. Explanation in words of how to get from 1. to 2.
