Calculate Correct Tax Rate

Hi Everyone

I'm trying to calculate the correct tax rate.  Here's the scenario (I have a few screenshots with a small sampling of data).

I'm trying to take the LineCost w/o Tax and multiply it by the correct Tax Rate.  There may be multiple tax rates as some cities have changed the tax rate over the years, so I'm trying to utilize the most current (before EndDate) tax rate.  For example, I'd like to use the 8.025 tax rate when using lines that have the LS715 Code (because this is the most recent and the others have "expired" - past the end date.

The links are Code-Code and TaxID - TaxIID

I hope there is enough data to help me - if not, please let me know and I'll get you more

Calculating the correct tax rate is essential for maintaining transparency and avoiding surprises later on. It’s helpful when residents can review recent figures and understand how valuations are determined across different property types. I’ve found that resources like Hendry tax assessment data can really clarify how local rates are structured. Clear access to this kind of information makes planning and compliance much easier for everyone involved.

Correct Tax Rate=

VAR MAXDATE =

   MAX (Schedule[EndDate] )

VAR maxseldate =

   CALCULATE ( MAX ( Schedule[EndDate] ), ALLSELECTED ( Schedule[EndDate] ) )

VAR result =

   CALCULATE ( MAX ( Schedule[TaxRate] ), Schedule[EndDate] = maxseldate )

RETURN

   IF ( MAXDATE = maxseldate, result )

Thanks for the tip, lbendlin.  I'll keep that in mind.

As it turns out here, though, I may not need this after all - but thanks for the taking the time
