Button stopped working when editing desktop power bi report

I have been working on a dashboard with bookmarks and buttons. The dashboard is continuously being updated and published with new version into Azure. Yesterday I have stumbled into an issue where the button for the bookmark has suddenly stopped working while editing the report in desktop. I have tried to troubleshoot by clearing cache, recreating a page, deleting and adding a new button but without success. I don't want to have to recreate a new report, please help.
