Hi there,
How to show the button as green when the dataset connected to the power bi is fine and refresh on scheduled event but show red when the data connection is not working ?

I would suggest you to show last refresh time in your report: https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/azure/devops/report/powerbi/add-last-refresh-time?view=azure-devops
