Hi, guys
These ideas were presented several years ago. Do you know if it is now possible to send a group email to the users listed in my table?
https://ideas.powerbi.com/forums/265200-power-bi-ideas/suggestions/19156099-mass-email
https://ideas.powerbi.com/forums/265200-power-bi-ideas/suggestions/20288017-mailto-multi-recipients
It looks like the mailto link is still designed to send an email to a single recipient. Let me know if I'm wrong.

Thank you.

@yosemite , thanks for linking to my solution from last year. I uploaded your PBIX file to the Power BI Service without making any changes, and your "Email All" button worked well. The measure you created is correct. I think the limitation you're seeing is just related to Power BI Desktop.
HI @yosemite,
I think this should more relate to the power bi desktop itself. (I copied the string that generated from the DAX formula)
If I create a hyperlink in other applications, it works to open the mail application with pasted these concatenated accounts in 'To' box.
Regards,
Xiaoxin Sheng
Hello @v-shex-msft ,
This formula for single email works to open the mail application:
Email Link = CONCATENATE("mailto:" ,Table[Email])
But this formula for multiple email doesn't open the mail application even if it is categorized as a Web URL in Power BI desktop:
Email All = "mailto:" & CONCATENATEX(VALUES ('Table'[Email]), 'Table'[Email], "; ")
Do you mind updating the PBIX I posted to show how you made it work? Thanks for your help.
Hello, do you have a solution for when the mailto charater limit go over 2000
Right click the email icon and copy-paste the mailto: link into your email to/cc/bcc field. Works all the same as clicking and generating the link to a list under 2000 characters

Your database should contain a column with the following inputs :
mailto:mike@company?to=john@company.com - an e-mail will be sent to both Mike and John (**Example below)
mailto:mike@company?cc=john@company.com - by exchanging "?to=" with "?cc=", an e-mail will be sent to Mike with John on copy
**Example of a database in Excel:
Create a column "Count" to count owners listed by "/"
Cell C2 =IF(LEN(TRIM(A2))=0,0,LEN(A2)-LEN(SUBSTITUTE(A2,"/",""))+1)
Create a column "mailto to" using diverse functions (this function is limited to 2 owners). I setup a fixed range of data $A$2:$B$5
Cell D2 =IF(C2=2,"mailto:"&XLOOKUP(IFERROR(LEFT(A2,FIND("/",A2)-1),A2),$A$2:$A$5,$B$2:$B$5,"")&"?to= "&XLOOKUP(IFERROR(RIGHT(A2,LEN(A2)-FIND("/",A2)), A2),$A$2:$A$5,$B$2:$B$5,""),CONCATENATE("mailto:",B2))
In PowerBI, change the column category to Web URL and activte visual (VISUAL --> URL icon --> ON
@yosemite it all depends on the mail to address if you add multiple email addresses with a comma (,) it should work.
I would ❤ Kudos if my solution helped. 👉 If you can spend time posting the question, you can also make efforts to give Kudos whoever helped to solve your problem. It is a token of appreciation!

Hello @parry2k - Thanks for the reply.
Is there a way I can send a group email to all the users listed in a filtered column with a single click in Power BI?
Column1: Email
Column2: EmailLink -- EmailLink = CONCATENATE("mailto:",Table[Email])
@yosemite hmmm, not exactly, but you can use concatenatex function to create a single email for all the filtered records and drop that in the matrix visual and then click that to send the email
Email All =
"mailto:" &
CONCATENATE( VALUES ( Table[Email] ), Table[Email], "," )
I would ❤ Kudos if my solution helped. 👉 If you can spend time posting the question, you can also make efforts to give Kudos whoever helped to solve your problem. It is a token of appreciation!

@parry2k Hello there - I was able to fix the code. Thank you for showing me the way.
When you get a chance, could you check the updated GroupEmail.pbix and see why even though the link is there, it won't open as an email.
@pdbenbow Hello there, I saw your SOLVED post. That was helpful.
I'm having the same issue and wondering how yours worked. Here's my PBIX.
