Building paginated reports in Power BI??

Hi all,

Using business objects I currently have lots of data only reports built that get scheduled to our SharePoint site and saved as Excel files. They get refreshed automatically every night.

We are moving to just having power bi premium and I can't see how to replicate the data reports I had before. I think they are called paginated reports. Basically I need to design a report that will simply give me an Excel file containing all the data, no charts etc and can be scheduled to run each night. Can power bi alone do this or is the idea the everything is supposed to be a visualisation? Should I be using another tool? Ssrs perhaps?
Can I move the SQL from my current reports into power bi?

Any help greatly appreciated

Since you have PowerBI Prevmium this shoud be avialable soon. Planned for Preview in August release of PowerBI Service, (assuming you have P1 or better licence).  Microsoft will be integrated SSAS and SSRS as a preview into the PowerBI Stack.

Here are a few key slides form the Recent BI Summit.

Thanks. So at the moment it can't be done in power bi but hopefully the functionality should be there soon? I've tried finding the slides from the summit but had no luck - do you have a link to the full slideshow?

Thanks

I think you can only download the slides if you attended.  But you can watch the videos of most sessions - https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/businessapplicationssummit

Also if you just need excel for the moment don't forget pretty much anythink you can do in powerbi from a data modeling perspecive (relational table links, measures, etc..) you can do in Excel PowerPivot. Right now you Don't have the visuals but SOON excel will be able to use many if not all of the standard visuals and many from the store as well.
