Hi Everyone, not a programmer but I plan on building a SaaS platform using a no code platform and powerBI. The Idea is users upload their data on my website and my preset PowerBI templates just spits out a dashboard based on the data they provided. My question: Is it possible to embed power BI into a website and have users upload their data directly from the website?

You'll want to doublecheck that Power BI Embedded terms of service let you build what could be construed as a solution competing with the Power BI SaaS service. I seem to remember it's prohibited but can't find the right official web page right now.

You can embed power bi reports on web pages, yes. 

I can think of several ways to solve end users upload some data. Excel, csv or json files saved on one drive. You can also make a Power App Where end users can put data, and then have a power automate in the back pushing data into a sql database or a file like excel etc.

Hi @Ray26Light ,

For power bi embedded, it’s function is to embed your Power BI items such as reports, dashboards and tiles, in a web application or in a website, so that users or organization can access this content. As the following says:

Now you want to let users upload their data directly from the website, but embedded does not support this , so these operations still need to be performed by returning to power bi.
