Build a state diagram with bar chart
Hello All,
I need help, because I want to build an bar chart or something like this which show´s me which machine ist in Working or Stop mode in a 24h range.
So the Target is to compare the machines and look for time overlaps.
I have the time stamps which machine change his condition in ( Start Working = Start Arbeit and Stop Working = Start Pause)
I found an visual from Craydec which look´s like my favourite solution but It doesn´t work with my data.
Can anyone help´s me?
Thanks

Anonymous Seems like a variation on MTBF. Basically, for each row calculate how long the machine is working or not working and display it in a graph. See my article on Mean Time Between Failure (MTBF) which uses EARLIER: http://community.powerbi.com/t5/Community-Blog/Mean-Time-Between-Failure-MTBF-and-Power-BI/ba-p/339586.
The basic pattern is:
Column =
VAR __Current = [Value]
VAR __PreviousDate = MAXX(FILTER('Table','Table'[Date] < EARLIER('Table'[Date])),[Date])
VAR __Previous = MAXX(FILTER('Table',[Date]=__PreviousDate),[Value])
RETURN
__Current - __PreviousThe other way of looking at it would be time intervals like Open Tickets. Maybe a combination of the two approaches. If you could share sample data as text could perhaps come up with a solution.
Take a look at these two Quick Measures as I think you want something like them.
