Bug or never thought? Can't change credentials on get data

Hi there, I have a problem with database login. I think is not so good to remember de database user login with out saving the datasource in power bi desktop.

I have an odbc to sap maxdb. I was trying to connect when the credentials were asked. I wrote them and get an error. They were wrong. I close all for that day. Next day, I open the power bi desktop, get data, wrote my dsn of odbc again and when I put "Ok" it tries to connect with the old credentials and i can't change them, not even when I click "Edit" after the error message. This shouldn't be remember if fail.

This can't be right. I have now to reconfigure and change name of the odbc connector to connect.

Regards,

In this scenario, you need to clear your datasource. I agree, it shouldn't remember the credentials if it was wrong.

To clear credentials:

- goto options and settings

-  data source settings

- select "global permission" on data source settings

- select your data source and click "clear permissions"

Thanks,

P

Hi @parry2k ,

Even after clearing permissions and creating new connection, I still get my old credentials saved altough I insert the new one while creating the connection from scratch. How's that possible?
