Bug in Select All option in Slicer

I have used select all option on my slicer. Post that i unselected all options one by one, after unselecting all values it still shows select all option checkbox ticked and multiple selections is written on the slicer header. And it is filtering out all values on report page. Please provide a fix to this.

I am also facing similar issues, my report stakeholders are asking same question like when we untick "Select all" the slicer still show message as "All" instead of some message like "Select a value". Is there any way to display custom message in slicer.

I don't think so. I haven't seen any method to display a custom message as such but you can do one thing of creating a custom name value in the slicer and leave it as default selected to meet your needs.

I have to say that Microsoft's support on this forum is minimal. I have posted multiple questions and rarely got a solution for any of the questions.

Microsoft Help or at least say that you are working on fixing the bug.

Hi @Anonymous

Slicer doesn’t have the “Unselect all” option, if you untick the “Select all”, that means nothing filtered on the data. And it will definitely show all the records.

If you’d like to show none of the records, you can try to unselect the items one by one:

Hi @v-diye-msft

What you said is inconsistent behaviour of the visual. If you select multiple options and then unselect them slicer return to the default state which is All. But if you have used Select All option and then unselected all of them it becomes all unselected(inconsistent behaviour). Is it not a bug in the slicer functions?
