Hi everyone,
I've created a map where every bubble is representative of a rain station, and the bubble size is the sum of inches of rainfall.
What I'm wanting is the bubble size to keep the same, absolute scale when filtering (like by month, for example).
As it is currently, the map is pretty useless when filtering to compare different months. A bubble of the same size will represent 3.08 inches of rainfall in January, and 19.90 inches in April. In my screenshot below, the same bubble in April was much smaller than the one in January, even though April had over 3x more rain. I realize the "Size" category literally says it is for relative sizing, but it is possible to override this somehow?
The bubble layer scaling method is currently set to linear...it doesn't seem as if the other options will fix my problem. Do I need to write a measure for "Size" field instead just dropping my "inches rainfall" column?
Thank you,
@FLHound yes I think you need to create a measure for the size.
