Hello,
I'm using Box and Whisker by MAQ... the visual works and looks great with one exception. The mean is not including the records with zeros.
Is there a solution for this? @MAQ
Hi @mgreezrhythmtx ,
According to the user guide of Box and Whisker by MAQ Software, the mean value is calculated by dividing the sum of all values by the number of values. If your data contains zeros, they will be included in the calculation of the mean. However, if your data contains blanks or nulls, they will be ignored in the calculation of the mean.
If you want to show the mean value including the blanks or nulls, you can try to replace them with zeros before using the visual. You can do this by creating a new measure that uses the ISBLANK function to check for blanks or nulls and replace them with zeros. For example:
Value with zero = IF ( ISBLANK ( [Value] ), 0, [Value] )
Then you can use this measure as the Value field in the visual instead of the original one.
Best Regards,
Neeko Tang
