Bottom bar options in embedded report in Power Point does not work properly
Dear community,
I am using Power BI reports embedded in Power Point. Unfortunately all the tools but link to the report itself present in the bottom bar stopped working for me recently. (e.g. I can see options to create snapshot but when I click it, it collapses and nothing happens).
Can you please advise how to tackle this?

Hey! A few things you can try to fix this:
- Update Office: make sure your Microsoft 365 and the Power BI add-in are fully up to date.
- Clear your Office cache: corrupted cache can cause the add-in to misbehave.
- Check Office WebView / Edge WebView2. Make sure Microsoft Edge WebView2 Runtime is installed and up to date. Then restart your machine.
- Sign out and back in: inside the add-in, try re-authenticating with your Power BI account.
- Check tenant or permission changes
- Reinstall the add-in: remove it from PowerPoint and add it again fresh.
Mmmm the semantic model use "import mode" ? or direct Query? You could try in Import mode.
If none of that works, you should open a support ticket with Microsoft. That could be a Bug..

We have gone through them together with company BI team yet still does not work 😕It works for my colleagues with a bit older PPT build than I have
Not sure if that cannot be the reason. Reached out to internal IT again and yes I guess they will raise a ticket with MS.

no no, did not help unfortunately. I turned to internal IT again and I suppose they will raise the ticket on my behalf. Feature works for my colleagues well. We saw a different, newer MS PPT build in my case than colegue´s. Wondering if that could be an issue.

Thank you for the clarification.
If the feature works for your colleagues and you are on a different build of Microsoft PowerPoint, the build difference could indeed be the root cause. Matching your Office version and update channel with a working colleague’s machine should help confirm this.
Please do share the outcome once IT or Microsoft support reviews it.
