Border around page/tab?
Hi - is there a easy/simple way to create a border around the different pages in a report/dashboard? I thought this would be an easier process that it appears to be from doing some searching so I would appreciate any help that can be provided.
Thanks in advance~
Hi Anonymous
Unfortunately, Power BI doesn't have a built-in feature to add borders around entire report pages, but here are several effective workarounds:
A)
Create a border image in any design tool (PowerPoint, Photoshop, etc.)
In Power BI:
Go to Format pane → Page background
Enable "Background image"
Upload your border image
Set transparency to 0% and position to "Fit"
B)
Insert Shapes → Rectangle from the Home tab
Format it with:
No fill (transparent)
Border color/thickness of your choice
Position behind all other visuals
Size to match page dimensions (use Format pane for exact measurements)
C)
Add a blank visual (from the Visualizations pane)
Place it behind all other visuals
Format with:
Background color slightly different from canvas
Padding set to create border effect

Hi Anonymous ,
Thanks for reaching out to the Microsoft fabric community forum.
To implement border around a page,
Please download or create a jpeg file containing the appropriate image with colour of your choice.
Go to wallpapers in format page
Upload the image and change the image fit to Fit.
You will get a background colour similar to this picture
