Question regarding bookmarks and publishing an update to a Power BI report. We make changes to the dataset 1-2 times a month and publish an Power BI report update once or twice a month to the service as well. Dataset changes usually just involve adding a field a table.
We often hear from our users that their existing bookmarks no longer work after these updates. This means the user has to re-create their bookmarks. This can happen even on report pages that are not touched for the update.
Is this something that is normal? Is this behavior due to the dataset changes on the backend or the fact that the Power BI report was published?

A bookmark captures the meta data at the point in time when the bookmark is created or updated. If you change the meta data (usually something more severe than adding a field) this will very likely break the bookmark.
Normal? Please define "normal" . It's how this was designed, yes.
