Hello PBI Community Users,
Part of a project I'm involved in, we created a PBI dashboard with more than 85 pages for which we designed a three-level navigation pane to ease the user navigation and make it more interactive. As you can expect, we have around 15-20 bookmarks/page, plus additional ones which open some insight text boxes. If, in the beginning, it took ~7 minutes to have the bookmarks and buttons customized/page, it became more and more difficult to create these with each page, because PBI Desktop kept crashing with the following message: There's a problem with WebView2 - Please report the issue to the Power BI Community so we can help you resolve it.
Is there a limitation on the number of bookmarks in a PBI dashboard? We need to do some more work on the dashboard and it freezes and crashes very often. Is there a solution to this issue we're facing? What would be the alternative of having a complex navigation pane in PBI directly (we are currenlty checking if Power Apps would be of use), without relying on bookmarks?
Thank you in advance for your valuable feedback!
Best regards,
Alexandra
Hi @alle_cornea ,
Currently there is no document mentioned maximum amount of bookmarks and its performance. You could use the Performance Analyzer to see how the report elements are performing and then to optimize them.
Best Regards,
Jay
@alle_cornea , please check if the field parameter can help to reduce a few bookmarks
Too much of bookmarks might not be a good idea. There can be other reasons too, refer to best practices

Thank you for your prompt reply, @amitchandak. However, the bookmarks in our report are used solely for displaying the different levels of the navigation menu, see below screenshot, not for filtering visuals, therefore the first solution does't help us much.
